This is a tremendous tribute to two of the finest jazz trumpeters ever to grace the scene. The pictures and music downloads are wonderful memories. Is there a possibility of having some of Pete's work on ''The Man With the Golden Arm'' posted? Great music.

| What a world of talent in that family. I was a big fan of Pete while I was in high school and later of Conte when he came on the scene. They set the bar way up there. |

Lots of luck with the site. The ''Brothers'' define the best of West Coast Jazz circa 1950s-onward. Hope your much-appreciated site grows and grows to tell more of their epic story. How about an oral history from Pete Candoli? Best!

I first heard about Conte when he was with The Lighthouse All Stars and followed his career until the end |

I had the pleasure of meeting, and having breakfast with both Pete and Conte in Wigan, at the annual Jazz Festival in July of 2000--again in October at ''Way Out West''-Redondo Beach--two wonderful people, and great players. Saw Pete in Palm Springs in December of 2001, shortly after Conte had passed--gave him a big hug and told him how sorry I was for the loss--it was obvious how much he missed Conte, and I'm sure still does--we all miss their playing.
